Two choirs with at least 7 treble clef singers and 6 bass clef singers will be able to cover all the parts on this ambitious and deeply emotional a cappella ballad, which presents the song with already lush harmony and voicings, well within the Puerling tradition. After the melody statement, an epic development section introduces a second choir of five parts to add a new rhythmic layer, and an improvising soloist may sing over the top of this section leading to a powerful climax which then gives way to a reflective finish. Well...you should probably just hear this one, but my advice is to just make sure you get to the development section. :)
